On November 21th, 2017, we had a very interesting short talk with our international guest Joe Yoder (the Refactory) about methodologies for conducting a writing workshop and get feedback to improve the quality of articles. The methodology is initially focused on software patterns but can also be applied to any kind of scientific article. In fact, the technique first appeared with poets.
See how it works and apply to your research group!
On May 20th, IME/USP once again welcomes Joe Yoder, who will this time talk about the necessary changes in quality assurance processes in agile teams. Do not miss it!

On November 8 and 9, the second edition of the Computational Linguistics Workshop was held at the University of São Paulo, promoted by the Department of Linguistics of College of Philosophy, Languages, and Social Studies, the Department of Computer Engineering and Digital Systems of the Polytechnic School, and the Department of Computer Science of the Mathematics and Statistics Institute, with the support of CCSL (the Free Software Center), the local FLOSS Competence Center.
The third edition of CONSEGI at Brasília, a large international event where several aspects of electronic government and FLOSS are discussed, had a strong presence by the CCSL.
IME/USP organized a caravan of students, who were able to travel to the event at no cost and to interact with the other 5000+ participants.
