A new Free Software Competence Center opened in Brazil. Inpired by CCSL-USP, in the last April, 25th the CCSL of the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia do Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) was officially born. The CCSL-USP congratulates the initiative and wish success for the Rio Grande do Norte "brother".
"The IFRN Free Software Competence Cente is a space for the development of open source software and sharing/disseminationof knowledge in the field of Computer Science, promoting the digital inclusion and capacitation of professionals in the region.
It was from the CCSL-IFRN that was born the Samanaú Project, winner of the of the 3º place in the field of Enginnering in the last edition of Brazil's greatest Science and Tecnology fair, the FEBRACE. Because of the great performance in the Fair, the Project was invited in the next year to the I-Sweep, in Houston, USA."
