An overview of room acoustical research at the University of São Paulo will be given. In this context the development of the measuring software “AcMus” will be portrayed. This software was used to measure the acoustical properties of different concert halls in the city of São Paulo. The results of these measurements are shown and discussed. At the end, a demonstration of the AcMus software will be given, presenting its main functionalities and outlining future perspectives.
