Abstract: Fernanda G. Weiden (from Google-Switzerland) will present the currently available solutions under GNU/Linux for load balancing: what is supported, what works, how it works, what doesn't work, and why. Also, new initiatives are currently under way, some of them leaded by the Google load-balancing team, and so future developments in this area will also be presented.

What is the CCSL

The CCSL (FLOSS Competence Center) at USP encompasses activities related to undergraduate and graduate education, research, development, and publicizing of Free and Open Source Software at USP and is comprised of formally established centers at the city of São Paulo (IME) and São Carlos (ICMC). Its main goal is to foster the development, research, and adoption of FLOSS (Freely-licensed Open Source Software) both inside and outside the University.
