Short-bio: Adam van Heerden is a design researcher currently doing his PhD at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. His research looks at the potential for playful and interactive platform technologies to empower marginal voices in citymaking processes. With a Masters degree in Urban Planning from the University of Cape Town, he's interested in co-designing civic media for participatory citymaking, and the empowering potential that this process holds for participants.
