An event for digital entrepreneurs aiming at helping participants meet essential partners and collaborators for the success of their startups.

Organized by the Digital Entrepreneurship Group of the FLOSS Copetence Center (CCSL) of IME-USP and with support from the Center for Entrepreneurship of USP (NEU) as well as the USP Innovation Agency, the first installment will happen at IME on August, 16th 2014, with the participation of Emeritus Professor Shlomo Maital, academic director of the Technion Institute of Management (TIM) at Israel.
The event will gather between 150 and 200 entrepreneurs (and future entrepreneurs) with different backgrounds from the business, technical, and design areas, interested in finding partners to compose the founding team of their startups.

The event will be divided into three activities: presentation by Prof. Shlomo Maital, Open Pitch, and Networking.

Presentation: Emeritus Professor Shlomo Maital
Shlomo Maital is senior research associate at the Samuel Neaman Institute for Advanced Studies in Science & Technology, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology, and professor (emeritus). He was the academic director of TIM-Technion Institute of Management, Israel's leading executive leadership development institute and a pioneer in action-learning methods, from 1998 - 2009. He was summer Visiting Professor for 20 years in MIT Sloan School of Management's Management of Technology M.Sc. program, teaching over 1,000 R&D engineers from 40 countries. He is the author, co-author or editor of 14 books, including Cracking the Creativity Code; The Imagination Ladder (Mandarin edition: Hangzhu Books); Mapping National Innovation Ecosystems (Elgar, UK, 2014); Technion Nation (2012), Global Risk/Global Opportunity (SAGE 2009), Innovation Management (Sage, 2007; 2nd edition, 2012); and Executive Economics (The Free Press 1994), translated into seven languages. He was co-founder of SABE-Society for Advancement of Behavioral Economics.
Shlomo Maital is married, with four children and 12 grandchildren. He completed the New York marathon in 1985 in 3 hours and 51 minutes, and in April 2007, completed the Boston marathon in about 5 hours. He and his wife Dr. Sharone Maital are now on a four-month 'trek' that will take them to South America, North America, Europe, Asia and New Zealand.
Open Pitch
During this activity, participants will be invited to offer a 60 seconds pitch about their idea for a current or future startup or simply to present their experience and technical expertise (for example, about programming). The goal is that the remaining participants may be easily able to identify the interests and skills of each presenter to initiate contact during the Networking portion of the event.
Networking
Over the coffee break, participants will be able to use different rooms to connect and get to know possible partners. Simultaneously, they will also have the oportunity to directly interact with Prof. Maital and other partners in the event.
