The Wikimedia Foundation has been dedicated to partnership with universities in the U.S., Britain, Canada, Germany, India and Brazil to promote the educational use of Wikipedia as a platform for creation of content by students. The site, the 5th largest in the world, has been widely used as teaching material in all specialties and levels of education in Brazil and worldwide, but its content is not always reliable.

Professional studios and home studios are commonly working with software based music production. Software are replacing the analogic hardware for music production because software are cheaper and easier to use. This lecture will present a general vision of Linux audio architecture, hardware to music production and some available software to produce music into Linux.

Software developers have long observed that certain patterns recur and endure across different applications and systems. The growing interest in Design Patterns, Architectural Patterns, Analysis Patterns, Pedagogical Patterns, and so on, represents an effort to catalog and better communicate knowledge, providing handbooks of proven solutions to common problems.

It is very easy to create robots to search the Web for data, besides the incredible possibility to automatize repetitive and bureaucratic tasks. We will show in this talk how to do it in a simple, fast and effective way, using Nokogiri, RestClient, JSON, and some other Ruby gems. What is possible to automate? What are the challenges that were not overcomed? How to avoid Robots in your web site?
